Commissioning Events
There are a wide variety of events in the days leading up to the commissioning ceremony itself. There will be a series of presentations given by the Commissioning Committee to educate the community about the ship, her namesake and her role in the Operational Fleet.
Once the USS Lenah Sutcliffe HIGBEE (DDG 123) arrives in Key West (the week prior to the commissioning), there are multiple events crew/community events.
The commissioning ceremony itself is open to the public, by invitation only. If you are interested in attending the ceremony, request an invitation. This is an extremely high interest event and space is limited. As space is available, the Navy will provide tickets on a first come, first serve basis.
